Roger Middleton The World of International Business Law "Relevant and Accessible" |
The Business Need Universities and Business Schools recognise the need for their students to understand the importance of international business law in commercial activity. For the student, it is an essential part of the managerial toolkit to take to their business careers. Enterprises need managers aware of the importance of law within the strategic planning process. To succeed in the global marketplace managers must be able to access and use detailed legal advice. Employers look for this knowledge and skill when recruiting. Business Schools like to include law in the syllabus, but there is great competition for time and resources. Students want to study law, but they are not law students and the subject often appears complex and time-consuming. For both the schools and the employers, there is often a problem with making that knowledge of law relevant to the process and accessible to the students |
